Terms of Service
Last updated 22 October 2026
In short: play fair, be kind in chat, and don't try to break the game. The game is free; Remove ads and Miles (for cosmetics) are optional purchases. Nothing here takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
These terms are an agreement between you and Rothwell Creative Concepts ("we", "us") for your use of Far Fetched at https://far-fetched.app (the "game"). By playing, as a guest or with an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to play and to make any purchase, and they accept these terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- One player per account, and please don't sell, share or transfer accounts.
- Choose a username that isn't offensive, misleading or impersonating someone else. We may change usernames that break this rule.
- Guest players get a temporary account that is deleted after 30 days without play. Guest progress isn't carried over to a new account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.
3. Playing fair
Far Fetched is a test of what you can work out from the picture in front of you. You must not:
- use bots, scripts, browser extensions or any tool that reads location data from the game, or that looks up or reveals the answer for you;
- use more than one account to boost scores, wins or levels, or work with other players to fix a match;
- exploit bugs to gain an advantage. If you find one, please tell us at [email protected];
- attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the game or its servers, or try to get into other players' accounts.
4. Chat and conduct
Chat, messages, usernames and bios must not contain harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, spam, scams, personal information about other people, or anything illegal. Mild swearing is masked automatically, but that doesn't make abuse acceptable. You can report players from their profile, from chat and from match results, and you can remove anyone from your friends list.
You keep ownership of what you write, and you give us permission to store and display it in the game so it works as intended (for example, showing your bio and delivering your messages).
5. Moderation
To keep the game fair and friendly, our moderators may review reported content and may warn, mute, rename, temporarily or permanently ban, or delete accounts that break these terms. Where we can, the action fits the problem and we tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, email [email protected].
6. Street View and Google Maps
The game shows imagery from Google Street View through the Google Maps Platform. By using Far Fetched you also agree to the Google Maps / Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Street View imagery belongs to Google and its contributors. We don't control what the imagery shows; if a location is broken, indoors or inappropriate, please use the Report button in the game.
7. Ads and the Remove ads purchase
- The game is free and shows ads to cover its costs.
- Remove ads is a one-time purchase of USD $1.99 (plus any tax your card issuer or bank adds) that turns off ads on your account, on every device you sign in with, for as long as we run the game. It is not a subscription and doesn't renew.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card details.
- The upgrade is linked to your account and can't be transferred. If your account is deleted (by you, or by us because you seriously or repeatedly broke these terms), the upgrade ends with it.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
7a. Miles and cosmetic items
- Miles are Far Fetched's in-game currency. You can buy Miles packs with real money through Stripe, and you earn a small number of free Miles each time you level up (2 Miles × your new level).
- Cosmetic items in the store (titles, icons, frames, backgrounds and name effects) can only be bought with Miles. Some items can't be bought at all and are unlocked by achievements instead. Cosmetics only change how you look; they never affect gameplay or scoring.
- Miles and items are a licence to use digital content in the game. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, sold, traded or transferred to another account, and aren't your property. Miles don't expire while your account exists.
- When you spend Miles on an item, the item is delivered straight away and the Miles can't be returned, except as described in our Refund Policy or where the law requires it.
- We may change prices, add or retire items, or rebalance how Miles are earned. Items you already own stay yours for as long as we run the game. If we close the game, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and stop selling Miles at the start of that period.
- If you get Miles or items through a bug, a chargeback, a refunded payment or by breaking these terms, we may remove them. If your account is deleted or permanently banned, its Miles and items end with it.
8. Changes to the game
We're always improving Far Fetched, so modes, scoring, levels, leaderboards and other features may change, and we may reset leaderboards or remove features. We'll give reasonable notice of big changes where we can. If we ever shut the game down, we'll announce it in the game at least 30 days beforehand.
9. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded. If you live outside Australia, you also keep any consumer rights your local law gives you.
10. The game is provided "as is"
Subject to section 9, we provide Far Fetched as it is and as available. We work hard to keep it running, fair and bug-free, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that every location or answer is correct. Scores, levels and leaderboard positions have no cash value.
11. Limits on our liability
Subject to section 9 and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of the game, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or AUD $10 if you paid nothing). Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
12. Ending your use
You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, as described in section 5.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change significantly affects you, we'll tell signed-in players in the game before it takes effect. If you keep playing after that, the new terms apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there (and courts that can hear appeals from them) can deal with any dispute. This doesn't stop you from relying on the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
15. Contact
