Delete your account
How to delete your Far Fetched account and the data that goes with it, in the Far Fetched app for Android or on far-fetched.app. It's the same account in both, so deleting it in one deletes it everywhere.
Delete it yourself
- Open Far Fetched (the Android app, or far-fetched.app/play) and log in.
- Open your profile: tap your name or avatar in the menu.
- At the bottom of your profile, choose Delete my account.
- Type DELETE to confirm (and your password, if your account has one). Your account is deleted straight away and you're signed out.
Or ask us
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account" and your username. We confirm it's your account, delete it and reply within 30 days. You don't need the app to do this.
If you have Far Fetched Pro
Deleting your account stops your Pro subscription renewing, wherever you bought it. If you bought Pro in the Android app, you can also check or cancel it yourself in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions. Time you've already paid for isn't refunded, except where the law requires (see our refund policy).
What's deleted
- Your username, email address, password, Google sign-in link, avatar, bio and home country.
- Your friends list, direct messages and copies of your chat messages kept for moderation.
- Your Miles, items, level, Passport stamps, achievements and Pro membership.
- Your device ID, scrambled network code and the approximate location stored on your account.
What we keep
- Payment records (amount, date and the payment provider's reference) for as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually 5 to 7 years.
- Past match results stay in other players' results, under an anonymous name instead of your username.
- Moderation records about rule-breaking (for example a ban), while they're needed to keep the game safe.
- Database backups are replaced within 7 days, so deleted data disappears from them by then.
