A geography game for families and classrooms
Far Fetched is a fun way to explore the world together. Look at a real street somewhere on Earth, talk about the clues and agree on the country. It's a great way to learn flags, languages, landscapes and where places are.
Why families and teachers like it
- Learn by looking: which side of the road cars drive on, what alphabet signs use, what plants grow there.
- Close guesses still score, so everyone feels progress, not just the geography experts.
- The daily challenge takes about five minutes: a nice routine at breakfast or the start of a lesson.
- Private games: a parent or teacher hosts and everyone joins with a 6-letter code.
- No download: it runs in the browser on computers, tablets and phones.
Playing safely
- Accounts are for players aged 13 and over (under 18s need a parent's permission). Younger children can play alongside a parent or teacher.
- Chat is filtered, players can be reported, and guests can't send direct messages or add friends.
- Private games can be set so only invited players get in.
Classroom ideas
- Project the daily challenge and vote on each place as a class.
- Pick a region (for example Europe or Africa) to match what you're studying.
- Ask students to explain which clue gave the answer away.
